Welcome to the new Peace and Education Coalition Alternative High School Program website!
If you are a student, or parent of a student, looking for an alternative high school setting, we're glad you found us. We are here to help provide guidance and support to students who have been out of school, but wish to return and earn their Chicago Public Schools high school diploma. We are currently accepting applications from out-of-school youth between the ages of 16-21. Our Second Chance Campus has five state of the art classrooms, a cafeteria, office spaces, and an outdoor basketball and picnic area. It also boasts an infant and toddler daycare center operated by Catholic Charities. We are hopeful that before the end of the 2009-2010 school year, we will be able to announce the opening of a new Pre-K room for our students with children between the ages of 3-5. Our Sinclair Campus has 7 creative and colorful classrooms, a cafeteria, a beautiful gymnasium with a small weight room area, large common areas, and a computer lab. Although Sinclair does not have on-site daycare, we have developed partnerships with local daycare centers that are just blocks away. Ms. Brigitte Swenson, Principal
